My Perfect Little World
This was a poem inspired by the character Tyler Browne in the book This Is Where It Ends. Tyler is a troubled highschool student who suffers through many hardships and reaches a breaking point, choosing to bring a gun to his school and trap everyone in the auditrium in order to get revenge on those who wronged him

Flame Of Denial
This was a poem I made in my poetry class, where the goal was to take two quotes out of different books (or any other media), and make a poem that connects the two quotes. My two quotes were...
"Will you let me go, for Christ’s sake? Will you take that phony dream and burn it before something happens?"
And
"You kneel before my throne, unaware it is born of lies"
The first line was taken from the scene in Death Of A Salesman where Biff and Willy get into an argument near the end of the play and Biff pleads for Willy to give up on him, that he is a failure and that he's incapable of meeting Willies expectations.
The second one was from a post I saw online about a student who basically hated their english class and found some way to cheese their way through it, while receving much praise from their teachers and peers.
I connected the two by makinng a story about someone who has been held up to a standard they could never reach for all of their life, being pushed by somebody who never gave up on them, to the point where their belief devolved into dilusion and ignorance towards the reality of the situation.
